Bryde’s whale found in Kalpakkam ,India

In the early morning on Sunday, some fishermen noticed a huge thing on seashore of kalpakkam. soon a fishermen called the Police then they informed the forest department, before the forest department to the spot, the crowd from nearby villages started to march towards the place. After few hours the forest department arrived the area with Mr. John from Wildseas organization which is a non-profitable organization. Which works for conservation of endangered sea species like whale, shark, turtles and etc….
After few hours of inspection by Mr.John and Dr. Supraja of sea foundation. It was found that it was a type of whale, soon by seeing it’s appearance it may be Bryde’s whale or also known as tropical whale. Because of its damage condition it may be approximately 28 feet. It is a kind of teeth less whale.
Later Supraja said that she is seeing many similar kind of incidents from December to May and also seeing more dolphins and whale and for a search of pray near Ganga river and West Bengal and this place is called as Swatch of no ground and there is more pray for it and all types of whales. From 2009 we are recording that many whales, dolphin and turtles are injured and caught in nets and damaged by anchor.
Later we interviewed Mr.John, he told us before 3 or 4 days the whale might be hit by a ship on the spine and died under the sea
